So at half time The Cougars led 12 -6 .
Haven came out after the break looking to improve on a sketchy first half display , and within a minute of the restart Whitehaven were level winger Dave Thompson leapt spectacularly to catch a kick through and charge over, making the touchdown. Crook converted.
However Keighley hit back with a try to edge infront again 12 -18.
From that point however Haven pressed forward and built a winning platform , First Steve Roper followed up his own kick thorugh to score then Jordan Burns backed up well near the line to score and extend Havens lead to 24-16 . On the 64 min prop Aiden Worthington rounded off a solid display with a try backing up a sparkiling attacking move and Haven were 28-16 ahead .
But Keighley responded well and came back to make it a tough last five minutes for the Cumbrians.
They had a lot of pressure in the Whitehaven 22 and eventually James Feather got over in the 75th minute and Beharrall landed the conversion.
