Trust in Haven – Get on Board Now

Whitehaven Rugby League FC Supporters Trust, known as Trust in Haven, was formed in 2010 as an Industrial and Provident Societies (IPSs).

The business of the Society is   conducted for the benefit of the community served by the Club and not for the profit of its members. Its   purpose is to   encourage and develop   a healthy, balanced and constructive relationship between the Club and its supporters and the communities it serves  .

Ultimately this would mean the Trust would become, on behalf of the Ordinary Supporter, a significant  Shareholder in Whitehaven RLFC 2010 Ltd.

As well as providing a voice for and services to, members, the Trust plays a valuable role in the club. It has previously  supported  the club when it was in financial difficulty, and in the intervening years has raised funds for to support club activity

The Trust has helped  the Club sign players, having committed a significant four figure sum to the club to sign players in recent seasons .In 2013 Trust in Haven raised £1500  for the Brennan Rooney Fund, the son of Havens Stand Off Jamie Rooney

The Trust however now finds itself at a Crossroads .

For the first time since the Trust came into being there is an opportunity to deliver on one of the Trusts main aims by acquiring on behalf of Supporters a significant Shareholding in the Parent Club .

In recent months the Trust has lost two  Board Members in John and Edna Hurst .Their involvement was valued and they will be missed .

This does mean that the Trust will now have to change how it operates, as we look  to implement  many new initiatives in order  to  maintain  and improve ,our  service to Supporters and our interface with  the Parent club

Critically we now have vacancies on the Trust Board so we are appealing to Whitehaven RLFC   Supporters to get involved . This can happen in a number of ways :

  • Join the Trust now this can be done online by visiting the
  • Become a Board Member of the Trust ! Interested ? Please email us on to register your interest and to find out more
  • Join our new Fund raising initiative LAst One Standing   a Super League Results Prediction competition with prize money up to £500 that will appeal to all RL Fans
